Memebers agreed the Committee Forward Work Programme for Spring Term 2017.

2       Inquiry into the Future of Agricultural and Rural Development Policies in Wales - discussion of written evidence

Members discussed the summary of the written responses to the inquiry.

4       Bovine Tuberculosis - scrutiny of the Welsh Government

Members heard evidence on the Welsh Government’s approach to eradicating bovine tuberculosis in Wales.

The Cabinet Secretary agreed to provide further information on Welsh Government spending on the Bovine TB eradication programme.

The Cabinet Secretary agreed to answer further questions in writing on the use of snares in Wales and provide the Committee with the note of the stakeholder workshop held on 16 November.

The Chief Veterinary Officer for Wales agreed to provide the Committee with further information on the analysis of the evidence with regards to the spread of bovine TB as a result of perturbation of wildlife.  She also agreed to update the Committee on the issue of the two kilometre buffer zone around cull sites in England.
